In this section, Shawn Clement makes an introduction and talks about practicing your hip turn during the back swing using stretch bands.

attach the stretch band to a door handle or a heavy furniture, hold the stretch band with your right arm and set your body at a 90 degree angle from the stretch band while making sure that there is enough tension. Reach over with your left hand and pull. Notice how your hips are positioned and how you are using the right leg as a leverage to be able to pull the stretch band.

Here is how you will feel the correct backswing position, as you go back your body is getting ready to pull again so you will notice how your body turns. Make sure that there is enough tension in the stretch band while doing this practice so as not to make is too easy for you and when there is too much tension you have a tendency to slide.

This will really help the core muscles of your body and strengthen the abs and will also show you the proper turn in your backswing. As you pull you will also see how the head is centered at all times.
