In this section, Denis Pugh makes an introduction and talks about the characteristics of a perfect wedge. Forge steel is the best material for a wedge because it gives a soft feeling that gives you the impression that you have more control over the shot.
In this section, Denis Pugh will enumerate the different characteristics that you should look for when buying a wedge. Choose between the R-Series which has a more rounded looking club and the T-Series which is a tear drop shape club. When it comes to loft, choose the wedges with 48 degrees, 50 degrees and 58 degrees loft. Another factor that you should consider when buying a wedge is the bounce. Bounce is affected by how the leading edge and the back edge have a relationship to each other. When the bounce is too much you will increase your chances of hitting a thin shot and when it is less you will mostly hit every shot fat especially if you are playing in a soft ground. One last factor is the toe and the heel of the club face.
