How to Avoid Shanking the Ball

In this section, Denis Pugh makes an introduction about the shank. He will then demonstrate shanking the ball to better understand how to correct it. Shanking the ball happens when the club face gets out of position on the back swing and the club gets too far behind you and the club face gets too close. What will happen is that you will hit the ball fat or hit the ground first.
In this section, Denis Pugh will correct the mistake earlier which was shanking the ball. Using the same position, instead of letting the golf club get too far behind you in the backswing, make sure that the golf club is parallel to your target line and the club face square when hitting the ball on impact.
