In this section, Shawn Clement makes an introduction and talks about 2 anti-shank tips.

In this section, Shawn Clements talks about a bad case of the shanks by swinging the golf club and targeting the golf ball and the worst you hit the ball the more you want to hit it. When this happens there is a great chance that your body stiffens as you hit the target you get more and more frustrated and loose your concentration.

In this section, Swan Clement talks about what will happen if the grip falls apart in the backswing.  If the body does not clear out on the backswing and the arms collapse into the body your tend to recreate the grip on the downswing all the energy of the swing will be spent before it can come into the ball.

In this section, Shawn Clements will teach you the first tip to avoid shanking the ball. Grip the handle of the club firmly and practice swinging back and through feel hot the grip is staying intact and feel the gravity pull your arms away from the gravity. Do not let the arms collapse into the body because this will bring the body in the way of your swing. With arms extended on the back swing and the right elbow pointing down, as you are coming down make sure that there is enough space in front of the body through to the target. Do not twist the spine instead; turn the body to allow the arms to extend fully.

In this section, Shawn Clements will teach you the last tip to avoid shanking the ball. A clear mind is very important to hitting the ball solid impact. Steadiness in the head is also important as well as a clear perception to the target. Do not move your head forward in the down swing.
