In this section, John Lubin makes an introduction on one of the biggest mistake on golf – gripping. It is important to grip the club correctly because the direction that the ball will go will be determined by how the club face comes into the ball on impact. The grip&the grip pressure are keys to how the club face will come into the ball.

In this section, John Lubin will show you how to properly grip the golf club.  First, make sure that the club face is aiming towards the target, set the club down behind the ball so that the bottom edge of the club is perpendicular to the target line. Second, by putting some marks on your golf gloves that will be your guide in laying the club across the lines when gripping. Put the left hand on first and use the marks on the gloves, place the line on the back of your gloves to the side of the grip, close the fingers, place the meaty part of your palms on top of the grip and place the left thumb slightly down the right side of the grip. When you put the golf club down you should see two knuckles in your left hand.  Don’t hold the club across your palm. Make sure that you are holding the club through the fingers of you left and right hand.

In this section, John Lubin will teach you the correct grip pressure on the golf club. Hold on to the golf club light enough just to hold on without squeezing the grip. This will allow the hand, arms and club head to swing freely.

In this section, John Lubin reviews the correct way to grip the golf handle and the correct grip pressure.
