In this section, Denis Pugh makes an introduction and talks about using 3 different irons to bring the ball into the hole when doing a greenside shot. Using a wedge when hitting a greenside shot is not always easy as the ball is closer to the ground because of the fine grass and there is a big change that the club will dig in to the ground and miss hit.
In this section, Denis Pugh will teach you how to hit a greenside shot using a 7 iron. Use the 7 iron for chipping as there will be less loft and you can just move the ball back in your stance and push your hands forward.
In this section, Denis Pugh will teach you another way of hitting a greenside shot by using a hybrid club in chipping. A hybrid or rescue club has no sharp edges, no back edge and leading edge where the grass or sand is going to dig in. Using a hybrid club, setup for a normal chip shot and just push forward the ball.
