In this section, Denis Pugh makes an introduction about how lack of confidence can greatly affect the game and how being overconfident also does the same. One scenario of being overconfident is by hitting a lob shot on the ball that is on the green instead of just doing a simple shot. Lob shots are quite difficult to do and requires lots of skills. However, no matter how skillful you are it is still a risk and a lot of things can go wrong. A Lob shots is a glamour shot that is done by using a lofted club, opens the face of the club on impact while cutting underneath the ball. What this does to a golf ball is bring it high up into the air and plops it down into the green.
